In the village of Djime, in the Abomey province of Benin, where there is neither electricity nor clean water, 872 families—approximately 2,468 people, including children—live under harsh conditions, drinking muddy and often contaminated water.
As a result, they frequently fall ill, and due to the lack of essential medical care in the area, their lives are at risk.
What needs to be done:
- Drilling 100 meters
- Constructing a 9-meter-high base and installing a 5,000-liter water collector
- Installing pipelines and faucets at various points
- Installing a solar-powered system to operate the pump
Total amount needed: €17,640
